Try not to walk all the time because character gets a headache/attack. If you really have problem, then try to watch some walkthrough.

Well, it's not pointless mission, otherwise it wouldn't be totally unclear what actually happened to him.

It's part of the story; not the best mission by any means but it has it's purpose.

You just want to smach, hit, shoot and kill, don't you?

At this point in the game, you should start to feel uneasy with what you are doing.
