Is "Achievement ♥♥♥♥♥" supposed to work in the Original version?

Yea it happens sometimes. Just fire up Updated version and it should pop upon starting a level.

Sometimes? So there's a chance it will pop up somehow? By the way, do I need to store the save files of the original & updated versions separately? Do they overwrite or screw each other up?

Usually when people don't get an achievement in Original it never pops up until they play Updated.
As for save files, Original save files and Updated save files are completely separated and you can have both at the same time without them interacting.
However, if an Original save file exists but no Updated save file, on first launch of Updated, the game will copy your Original save file to Updated save format so that you can continue from where you were in Original.

If, as I recall, you wish to start over in Updated version, you'll have to make sure the conversion does not happen.

I got all of the achieves. for this game a while back, almost when i came out. Didn't get the ach. ♥♥♥♥♥ one though. Then, just 2 days ago, after losing my save file for hotline maimi (and other steam games), I launched it up. Once I quit the game, I got the final ach

Just launched the Updated version and the same happened to me as you Roshi. Hotline Miami is the 20th game where I got all the (Steam) achievements.

Just finish Resolution in the Updated version, and it will be unlocked.

If you play on Updated that shouldn't be a problem.

Too bad, it is. I have all chapters at A+ (one level with biker, is only at A, dunno, if this is problem) I even checked my save file with Hex editor, everything was on 15, except that biker level. I replayed some levels, still nothing. I played whole game on updated, this is the last achievement I am missing

UPDATE: I did the "Fun&Games" mission to A+, than I continued to Prank call and just after I checked PC I got both acievements. W*ore and Get a life

Yup, you do need A+ on all levels, including Biker levels ;)
