Soundtrack not installing?

I just bought the soundtrack, i clicked in "install games" but nothing happened, I ignored it and waited for the game to auto-install it, but it isn't even in queue, so, am I supposed to wait for the other games to update? or is something wrong with my game (for not being in queue)?

Check if it's not already in your game's folder. Right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Local files -> Browse local files and check if a "Soundtrack" sub-folder is in there.

I did it, but there's only the redist and _commonredist subfolders.

Well, in Properties -> DLC, does the DLC appear and is checked under "Install"?

yes, it's checked, but it also says "not installed" :/

You may want to try to verify the integrity of game files in Properties -> Local files, it may add the DLC to the download list. Alternatively have you tried restarting Steam?

I tried the cache, but actually I forgot to try restarting steam, I'll do it and I'll let you know.

You don't need to buy the soundtrack. The songs came with the game. Just go to your Steam folder, go to steamapps, common, hotline_miami. The audio files should be there.

The point of buying the soundtrack is to thank the artists for their awesome work. Also the files in the game are cut versions of the songs to make them loopable, the soundtrack contains the songs in the original uncut format.
