does this game work with windows 7?

heard this game was non-functional with anything above windows vista.
Any truth to that or if I try some of the different fix-up options it should work??

If it doesn't work, delete "World in Conflict" and then check the integrity of the game cache for "World in Conflict: Soviet Assault". The game should launch from from "World in Conflict: Soviet Assault".

No, dont install th vanilla just the soviet assault. I had that problem but only having SA installed fixed the problem

yea I finally got it to work with an old disc copy I had by changin the My dxflag from 1 to 0

steam copy still doesnt work though. Will be mnuch more careful in the future with purchases.

Edit: but i can only acces to WiC:SA campaign, original campaign is not accessible to me :(

It works, you just have to install the expansion and not the first one

I am playing it on Windows 8.1 and it works fine ^^

so fixing the cache worked for me but once I got to the main menu my cursor was way offset. I would point at the first option and it would highlight the fourth. Any idea how to correct this?
