If I buy this from Amazon.com

I want to buy this game. However, price is... kinda big for me ATM. So I checked Amazon.com I and I could get it much cheaper from there. I am from Europe, so anything bought in dollars is cheaper to me.

So, the page notes that the game needs steam. All good and fine for me. Now, question is:

If I buy it and activate it on steam, can I play it right away OR do I need to wait until the official date? Will it even work/recognize it?

You need to wait if you're in Europe right now, no matter where you buy it from. I bought it from amazon, too, and they relocked the game after I initially had access to it for a week or so (I fear my European eyes have already seen too much of this steaming hot Wii U system seller, here's fingers crossed the Secret Nintendo Police won't find out and donkey kong me).
