i beat it on hard could not upgrade 4 plantes but got the caputre 7 plantents trick is picking right techs for ships pick scout an second tech people slave driver if you just want win hit the 2 top 5 planets first then hit the moeny planet when able hit other 5 planet spot little later keep sending cash back around 20 or 50 depend on how much you have save a little too try save you planets they keep rushing one till they take it the key is saveing the moeny planet at all cost as it give huge cash boost but is limted by how many planets you control

That is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up level.
I managed to beat it on easy after reading this reply and realizing that this level is not one that you can have any sort of control over. You will be dangerously close to losing the entire time no matter what you do. Keep hopping planets while controlling the bank one and never let your money meter remain full for even a split second. I won by an extremely small margin this way. My hat is off to you jimmywolf.

I'm still losing every time by an extremely small margin. I did get up to a $225 pay out. Need my patience restored before revisiting that level again. The difficulty level is out of all proportion with the rest of the campaign.

I am doing every stage on hard, and I find these payback stages to be some of the easiest.

The key is to remember that you don't have to conquer much to win, you just have to pay them back. If you go in playing like you do on the rest of the stages, you'll lose it like I did my first try.

They will always attack the same planet until they take it, so this means you know which planet to defend and you can do whatever you want with the rest of them. They also ramp the attack size up bit by bit, so you also should know where you stand on how much longer you can hold out by how well you held off the last wave.

I can't remember what I did exactly, but I just captured a few planets and then upgraded them while setting the planet they are attacking to defend so that my ships would stay there. Once you have a few planets upgraded, just keep sending ships to the home planet and attack no new ones. You stop earning money when you attack, but you can send ships between planets you own at no cost. So just load up the planet they keep attacking with ships and start pouring money into the enemy. Should take very little time to pay them off once you are up and running. I think I did it with only 3 planets if i remember right, but it might have been more.

I find the difficulty of this game pretty decent until this level [10].

I just give up and play another game, I'll try a few of the tips suggested here but I can't get the timing right, I just lose barely, or I run out of planets to grab and I'm stuck with a handful of ships vs so many.

Sucks.. ruins the game...

They should introduce the gameplay concept of moving your base of operations with an easier introduction then ramp up the difficulty.

For those who are stuck on this level: its the only one so hard in the early game.

I have played the Planets at war beta and reported that this level is FAR more difficult than any other in the campaign but i see its still the same in the release.

But if you have beaten it the ones after are far easier.

Just beat this on hard with the bonuses. The key is to spam him with 1$ values and to capture planets far away from him without getting shot up by the cannons :)

I'm obviously missing something fundamental here. I can get the bank planet and I can see coins falling into the planet. However, I cannot get the balance to go down from 0/300 by any amount let alone win. Is there anything that I need to press / to maximise / to avoid / to try for?
If I can't get this then there is not a lot more I can do. :-/

Ah. You have to click on the highlighted purple planet thingy to send money to it. I suppose I should read the instructions more carefully. :-/

I'm with Big K on this one. I gave up on the game after playing this level as it should not be this frustrating and I have other games to play. You can send the guy money but the timer still ticks down. For being "easy", there is nothing easy about this level.

Sry, but it is easy, if u focus on the Main objective. U have to be quik and a little bit clever.
Step 1:
send 5 Ships to the Planet (5) on the top and 10 to the Planet (10) left below it

Step 2:
Block your Startingplanet, don't try to defend it! Send about 8 Ships to the Moneyplanet

Step 3:
Block the Moneyplanet and send Money until the Def-Planet on the right is below the planet on the Top. Now u can Conquer the Planet (5) right at the top. Send the fleet from the Top-Planet and Block any others

Step4:
Pay pay pay and nothing else.

Step5:
Thats it!

- Dont conquer to many Planets
- Stay away from the Def-Planets
- Conquer the Money-Planet!!!
- Don't try to reconquer any Planets!
- It's that easy!
