Don't hink you can but you can hire other mercs and replace yours until you need it later in the game.

Only way to currently start fresh with a new character is to use another account, either another Steam account or through Kongregate which also plays on the Steam server. You can also play the browser version with a Gamigo account and start fresh there though the browser version has a different cash-shop model.

We are working on allowing a reset, but that will take more time. But you can also reskill your merc if you made wrong turns there...

It is a lot of extra work manually in the database, so yes, for campaign players we can offer this, but we cannot just set back anyone on a whim...

Is it really so hard to have a "reset all progress" button? Genuine question. Does it have to do with the ranks?

Would be great if we can reset our archtype and skills of our primary character for free once that has been implemented.

It has to to with the fact that this is a database operation which is at the same time the base for identifying your user - so renaming the company and base merc or changing the merc class is tricky. We can do it, and we will, it just needs some work.
But honestly guys...once you get int the game a bit you ralize there are no BAD archetypes and you always want a team of short/long range guys etc.

Thanks for the reply primetide. However, it's not about what archetype I'm playing, it is about starting fresh once I got to know the game. Right now I have the feeling my run had a terrible start, immersion is now kinda "meh". The tutorial wasn't bad at all, it's just that I needed to adapt to the game, get the hang of it. I would even pick the same class, name and whatnot on a restart, but I'd play it "right" this time.

A lot of topics right now might sound a little harsh on you guys, but I think it's really out of frustration, right now a few problems might make player get that "so close!" reaction : they love to play but a couple of issues may still somewhat spoil the fun.

Thank you so much for making this tactical RPG (definitely my favorite kind of game), it only needs a little tweaking to be fully satisfying. Thank you also for fixing bugs quickly and being so present on these boards too, first time I've ever seen feedback answered so consistently! I'll be patient, keep up the good work. :)

I was buying a gun, but when I clicked nothing happened. Moments later, 8 of the same weapon were instantly bought up spending all of my available money.
