The game no longer advances the text when clicking or pressing space bar. I played until the second chapter normally, until out of the blue the game stopped advancing. It just freezes. I've tried reinstalling, going back to a saved game and even starting another one and I'm still having the same problem. Does anybody know how to fix this?...

I think the game is broken - at least for me. I wanted to play it so I started a new game. After The Intro caption The scene starts and get zoomed in a bit (music playing all along) but nothing is happening. I get an S where the Text should be and thats it. Its not advancing. I was shocked after going through the demo to see that it was panned with mostly negative reviews. I'm a woman in my 40s and I played games on an Apple IIe, so I'm not as picky as younger critics. I think it's fantastic and was sad when I finished the demo. It's on my wishlist and I WILL be buying it. I think it's very entertaining....

There is a lot of lag when running the game, especially in later chapters. I wonder if it is related to the game's autosaving function, as well as the "Memory" option keeping a backlog of all scene dialogue from scene 0. The Skip and Auto functions are also extremely slow. I would love to see optimisation of the Skip function, especially as the game stresses repeat play in order to obtain locked CGs and endings.
