Sound does not work.Sound for Team Fortres 2 works.
Video is clipped. The top and bottom of the screen is not visible. Optoins to change resolution for windowed mode does not work. It always says 1024x768 even if you change to something else.

My apologies. The windowed mode does work. It is set to 1024x768, but you can not change it. Even in windowed mode it behaves as fullscreen mode and the buttons at the top are clipped. The text at top is hidden.

Changing the resolution in window mode works fine here. My problem is tht the text in scenario briefing is cut off. I can just see scenario notes starting, the rest is cut off.

Windowed mode works and the game supports higher resolutions. Something else is happening here. ('m using Ubuntu 12.10 and have UoC running at 1280x1024 on a 1920x1200 laptop.

What resolution are you running on your desktop?

i think it is 1300x768. Its an alienware m11xr2 which i am using.

That sounds like an unusual resolution! A wide screen but short height? Might not be the problem but it kind of sticks out.

What is your native desktop resolution? I'd provide details to check but don't know what Linux distro you are using.

Wait a minute. It's possible the game only works with "standard resolutions" -- 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, etc. Maybe the game doesn't support your native desktop resolution and defaults to next lower "standard" resolution? Which would be 1024x768! (this is a guess)
