Worth 5 bucks?
Just a note. I got Bit Trip Beat some time back via Humble Bundle and never liked it.

Runner 2 looks cool though. Lemme quickly know what the pros/cons are.

If you didn't like the first game and the second game is almost exactly the same, why would you even ask?

He has Bit Trip Beat, not Runner.

Oh I didn't realize those were not the same thing.

Yeah, there's a whole series of Bit Trip games.
Bit Trip Beat
Bit Trip Core
Bit Trip Runner
Bit Trip Void
etc.

In particular, I dislike pixel art, so even though I also have a Bit Trip Runner 1 copy, I never bothered to install. This however has 2.5D artwork, and I am a mega huge fan of platformers on PC, and auto-running platformers on tablets.

So would appreciate you guys to point out the good/bad,

Also, it says 120 levels. Do those include the "secret" levels, or not?

Also, is it worth paying a bit extra for the soundtrack? Is it something you could listen to while doing other stuff by itself?

Also, Now when it's 66% off, I'm guessing it will be in the next Humble Indie Bundle. Thoughts?

That is my only reservation...that I buy this with full knowledge that the game will end up in a Humble Bundle real soon. Not necessarily the Indie 10, but definitely by 11. Or even one of the next two Android bundles since an iOS version is already in the works.

Bit trip runner is awesome, you should get the first one also. I didn't like Beat, but I love the Runner series :)

Runner 2 is really fantastic. All of the Bit.Trip entries play really differently, so you may enjoy this one even if you didn't like Beat very much. Beat was more like rhythm pong, Runner 2 is a pure rhythm game. Sure you're running and jumping and sliding, but really you're pressing buttons to the music.

If you like rhythm/music games, this is a fantastic one. You could always try the demo and see if you like it. The core gameplay is the same the whole time, it's just that further levels up the difficulty and introduce more mechanics/moves.

Yes, it's worth it. A great game, with lots of replay value if you're going to try and 100% it. Less frustrating than the first game as there are checkpoints! Which aren't mandatory if you like your games hard.
