Joystick not working
Altough it is said that the game has full joystick support, it is not working for me. I browse my library of games using my joystick (PS3, connected using USB) in Big Picture Mode and run the game from it (with the joystick). But then, inside the game, the joystick just do not work. Anybody have the same problem?

My ps3 pad works fine, with MotionInJoy running of course. However I had to disable controller vibration in the game options to make the right stick work for the loops.

So thats 2 suggestions, MotionInJoy (in Xbox 360 emulation mode) if not already using it, and turning off vibrations. Hope it works.

Thanks for your suggestion. I do use Motion in Joy when I am running windows: I forgot to say that I am having this problem in my mac (10.8.2).

we do not currently support the ps3 controller on mac, but are looking into adding it in the future.

@wombat marx, thanks so much for taking the time to respond! I have your awesome game on both the Wii U and Mac-Steam, looking forward to full PS3 controller support down the line.

If you don't *have* to have the "trace" functionality, you can setup the PS3 controller to work otherwise using Gamepad Companion ($7 in the app store).

@apolzon: what is the "trace" funtionality?

If the Dualshock doesn't work, which controller do you suggest we use on Mac?
Upcoming friday I have a game party at work and I'd like to hook up my Macbook to a projector and have people play runner with a controller.

Easy!
1. download/install motion joy.
2. plug in ps3 controller to a usb port using the cable it came with.
3. install/enable the motion joy driver, select xbox360 emulation.
4. play game!

On OS X you just plug in the controller or connect over Bluetooth and it will be recognised as a Human Interface Device (HID). The annoying part is that the controller works out of the box with decade old games and emulators but fails to do so with most recent games. Even games based on the Steam engine don't have HID support.

Developers don't seem to care about standards like HID and only support Xinput, a proprietary Microsoft alternative that's baked into directX and isn't available on unix based operating systems like OS X and Linux.
