Black levels?

the background for me is all blakc and halfway through the stages its black besides the glow aroudn the gold and such.. is that just me or is the game like that? kin d of impossible to play it when you cant see the stairs you need to jump n stuff.

the game is definitely not supposed to be like that, and we have not seen this on any of our test devices! are the entire levels black? is the character black? are the menus all black?

hmm. no idea. I have an nvidia gtx 650 ti 2gb and it works fine. I am using driver version 310.90 instead of 314.07. Driver 314.07 was causing lockups on one of my games so I rolled back to 310.90. What driver version are you using?

Basically, everything still works correctly as it should. The main issue being that the level is comepletely black, perhaps a texture error of some sort. everything is indestictable, except for five things: the glowing around the gold is visible, and the eyes of the spiney guys are visible, the trail behind Commander video is visible, the sky, and the menus. I hope this gives you a better understanding of the situation, wombat.

Works normal until the first checkpoint.
My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT, updated to the last version.

I have a theory... could someone with this problem try turning off depth of field in the settings menu and then restarting the game?

and regardless of if that works or not, please let me know what platform(s) y'all are seeing this on.
