You are running all the time - you can't stop (thus the name), but you have to jump over, slide under and kick through objects and enemies. Then there is collectable gold in every level and the sliding jumping and kicking + collecting the gold makes a tune, so if you play good it will sound awesome, oh and inbetween you can dance - if you're good enough! Furthermore there are additional exits + lots of unlockable characters and costumes.
There is also a little bit of story, but it's not really worth mentioning.
Be warned about the difficulty though, it can get frustrating later on and it's rather short. I finished every level on highest difficulty with all gold in under 10 hours, so a normal playthrough could last from 4-8 hours I think.
On top of what Termix said, everything is in Ultra-Super-HD, and beautifully designed. It also has a superb soundtrack, which interacts well with the tune created by collecting collectibles and passing obstacles. The developers specifically made the blips and bleeps of collecting stuff in the same key as the background music. The interface is perfectly user-friendly, and the subtle comedy in things such as the level names (e.g. a forest level called "Morning Wood") adds to the experience.
It's a reformulating of the formula of the very popular (though extremely difficult) BIT.TRIP RUNNER. "Just Right" mode has a good difficulty curve, but obviously the later levels will be tougher, requiring more precision and complex moves. "Rather Hard" mode is the understatement of the year; it's for fans of the original, apparently. If you like easy, medium, or difficult simplistic music games, you can't go wrong with Runner 2.
Buy it. Buy it, buy it, buy it. It's on sale.
I wouldn't say better than him :)
Me neither, this game just feels great to play, I recomend to buy it with the soundtrack, it's realy amazing!
Thanks. Goodbye.
PS : :D
Well worth the $$$
its not too hard (for med difficulties) and you can raise the diifficulties to make it even more challenging (and get achievement)
and also I like how you have to find RETRO mode and play it.
full of surprises!
