Game Crashes While Loading at Beginning

Hi there. Have had a copy of Anna Extended Edition sitting in my library for a while and just now getting around to playing it. However, after the Kalypso/Dreampainters/Anna screens I click with my mouse...the game acts as if it's loading up, but then states that the executable has crashed. Are there any patches or fixes that have been published recently? Thanks.
