Either crashes or windows so that half the screen isn't visible.

I want to play this so badly! I've tried everything - running both high and low graphics, running windowed and not windowed, playing original and extended editions. On high specs the game crashes. On low specs it will run, but whether windowed or not, half of the window is cut off at the sides and bottom. I'm so disappointed!! If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

My PC is running Windows 8.1 & it's an i7 with a decent graphics card.
