Demo Fails at Loading Screen

Demo hangs at loading screen right after world creation. Any suggestions?

It has never worked. Downloaded a few weeks ago. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried deleting local data folder with config. Not really sure what the problem is, but I won't buy a game if the demo doesn't even function for me.

Okay, downloaded game demo from company's web page and it works fine. Steam demo still won't run for me. Don't know what that's about, but oh well.

In case anyone comes by to read this, I ended up buying the full game and I've enjoyed it very much.
