Dodge and evasion difference?
Hi Everyone,

can anyone explain to me difference between dodge and evasion - both are defence abilities so I am not sure if they work same way?

Thanks to anyone who wants to reply :)

Dodge and evasion along with block, parry, and deflection all work exactly the same. The only real difference between them is that some skills are dependent on one or more of these miss types (e.g. the skill 'Riposte' requires either block or parry). I don't think there are any skills that require only dodge or only evasion so those two in particular are identical. However, it does leave things open for mods.
Thank You very much for Your reply. If You would, can You explain me their mechanics...meaning, does value dodge of 5 gives 5% chance to dodge or it works differenty?
Dodge and defense are relative numbers that are compared to the enemies attack value.
Ty for info, but does that means attack is valued against defence, then dodge, then evasion, and if any of them is greater then attack, mentioned attack will fail?
It's complicated, but there's a good bit of randomness so an attack always has a chance to hit or miss. Defense with some randomness is compared to attack, if it misses then it figures out what kind of miss (dodge, evasion, etc).
Ty again for info, but bottom line of my questions is does it make sense to invest into increase of both dodge and evasion or only one will be applied in each defence, so would be wiser to invest only in one of them?
In general, it is worthwhile to have both because anything that adds to dodge or evasion also adds to defense. So if you have both, you will be hit less.
Cool, now I will try warrior/thief combo which allowes development of all defence types. Thanks for advice :)
