Do the glitches make this game unplayable?

I've been considering buying this game for a while now, and as a whovian I am frustrated that a game with such potential went to waste and got such bad ratings, but looking at the discussions now I'm surprised to find that really the only thing bothering people are the bugs. I'm pretty ok with glitches, I've played a lot of buggy games and I think that it would be easy to work through them, the only thing I'm worried about is has anyone ever experianced walling? (As in you are unable to continue without loading a save due to a glitch) Or does it just make progress slow and annoying? This game looks like it could be fun but I don't want to spend money on a game that is unplayable.

I finished the game without experiencing any bugs where I had to load another save. Some (possible) glitches force you to temporarily set the resolution lower or for some computers, go into compatibility mode. Some problems with the AI require extra in-game work to get them functioning properly. Like if River jumps off a ledge instead of grabbing onto a pipe, it means you need to move out of the way a bit. Other people have experienced more bugs but they never happened to me so I haven't looked too much into it.

I've managed 1.5 runthroughs without glitches, so you should be fine

I wish I'd had the experience of these two players. I got several levels in (past a glitch that made the game pretty frustrating) and I'm now stuck at a point that, because of a bug, I physically can't progress past. No amount of reducing resolution has helped, either. I want to tell you the game is great - it is - but I'm starting to regret spending money on something I can't play.

City Streets III - the lift won't work. I've taken the graphics down as far as they'll go, checked for patches, verified cache, all the other things I've thought of - no joy. And no help from games support! I had trouble with River' AI in the underground but I did manage to ultimately get past that.

Thanks for the reply - I do have someone willing to do 2player with me, do you think this would fix the glitch? I don't see how as you're having trouble with a game element, not AI.

1st glitch I noticed was-a small gap you're supposed to climb through to get a hat,won't allow mw to do so.Next,this time a major problem for me,Underground being chased by Cybermen and River is supposed to help you up over the wall,but instead she just jumps back down everytime.This is where I have to stop playing as I can't get any further.My problemis my Steam runs slow alot,so I need to download the Patch manually,but can't find it.Anyone have a link to the Patch.I'm beginning to feel like going back in time and forgeting I ever found this game!

I couldn't get past the first part with the cybermen. Either the puzzles wouldn't register completed when they were, or River stands there and lets the cybermen get her. Every single time.

Unplable for me, early in the game, in the city streets just cant pass it, river just stops, either in lifts or on a pipe or on a latter, ive restarted the area 4 times and now just given up!

It seems most of you are having problems with the AI do you think having a second player would help?

Anyone with Lift troubles wait till River is on the lift with you and press W to go up, or S to go down. do this even if river is on the lift and the massage on the top screen says "waiting for companion"

I haven't experienced any real glitches with this game. There have been times when I've wished River would be better controlled by the AI but that's about it.

The glitchs do make the game unplayable. Ive had the game for 7 weeks now and the guards have been gliching so hard. Ive been seeing guards go invisable. Ive seen guards walking through walls. Ive been seeing guards falling into the ground then pop up. Ive been seeing guards teleport across the hallway. All of this on level 2!
