Dead Island Riptide has stopped working
Verified all files, reinstalled twice now and every time I run the game it comes up with a black screen then a pop-up reading as said in the title. I know it's not my pc as I am running a high-spec, fairly new rig. Haven't played the game yet and would love to soon. Anyone having the same issue?

I am having the exact same problem, I have verified twice, done the delete appcache and restart trick, even deleted and reinstalled. I am having the exact same problem. Want to know a fix.

Try this:

In steam, right click Dead Island riptide, go to properties, then launch options, set the launch option "-nologos" (without the quotes) and launch the game.

It may have to do with how you have the games video configured. If you go to "Documents/Riptide" and delete the folder labeled "Out", this will force the game to remake it next time you run it with default configuration. I had to make sure VSynch was off and the game was set to run in Windowed mode. If I changed either of these things, my game would crash as soon as I wasn't watching an in game movie. Once delete that, you can then test to see what works for you and what does not.

not working.. im running win 8 and played game sometime when it was free on weekend few monts back aand then it worked like dream.. now it just shows first little löogo and black sreen and shuts down with "has stopped working" window

found problem.. it just didn't like to be at external hard drive... tranfered all steam files to c: and now its good to go :P
