Thanks for reporting this! Could you please try deleting the game and downloading/installing it again? If that doesn't fix the issue, please post your system specs so that we can track this down.

Sorry for the trouble!
I have the same thing, wrote in a support. waiting for an answer
Reinstalling did not help

Same here. It worked today afternoon, then Steam did an update after starting it in the evening. Now it crashes everytime I try to start it.

Deleting and reinstalling did not help either. Is there a way to reset the configuration of the game? It seems it kept my changes after reinstalling.

do you guys all have win8 ? i havent had any problems on win7 (64 bit)
no matter which operating system is a program should work on any system if it did and put up for sale. predostovlyat well or reliable information on which systems it operates and on what not. otherwise be available in time support.

I have Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit with AMD 7870. The game works beautifully. But my Dad is getting the same issue as you guys and he is also running Windows 8 64 Bit but with onboard Intel graphics.
my video card gigabyte HD 6850

Interesting. I made the assumption it wasn't working with only onboard Intel chips on Windows 8. Thanks...

Im using Windows8 64bit too and it crashes everytime i start the game.

Windows 7 64Bit here.
Nvidia GTX 460 with 310.90 drivers.

It worked until yesterdays update. After that, I couldn't start it anymore. I had set it to windowed mode, maybe it works in fullscreen, but I don't know how to reset this since the game won't start.

I have solved the problem! Please bear in mind that this only works for older Intel Integrated Graphics Chips and Windows 8.

Intel have discontinued drivers for Windows 8 and the only driver that windows 8 will let you install is WDDM 1.1 which only supports OpenGL 1.1. The most up-to-date driver for Windows 7 supports OpenGL 2.1. On an Intel forum ( https://communities.intel.com/message/171099 ) I've read that people are outraged with this as they are unable to play Minecraft since installing Windows 8. So I came to the conclusion that this may be the same problem for Fieldrunners 2.

What you need to do is force the Windows 7 driver onto Windows 8 by Disabling driver enforcement, editing one of the .inf files in the driver package and force Windows to install unsigned drivers. This is quite a complicated process for a novice user. But the guide I used worked: -

http://tachisalopex.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/windows-8-and-intel-graphics-driver.html

Please read the comments below as there maybe solutions there if it does not work for you.

I understand that this is not the best fix as it is not easy to apply. I have no idea if Intel are going to buck-up and update their drivers for Intel chipsets for Windows 8 in the future.

Best of luck

I doubt that this is the reason for the crash since several ppl have reported different configs above.

It is the reason for the crash on the specific hardware I explained, as it solved my problem. There are many reasons for a crash...

solved, re-installed the graphics card drivers
