Level 13 Strategy

So no matter what I do for level 13, I always lose all hull integrity (which is at maximum level). I generally die at around 1:30-2:00 left, being swarmed by those duplicating things. I have the difficulty set at medium / medium but I've died about 20 times on this level (didn't have much difficulty beating the other levels). No matter what I try, those duplicators just end up swarming the screen and killing me. I've gone back and improved my scores on previous levels, which has allowed me to max out EMP, which is certainly helpful, but I still can't get a hang of it! Any strategy ideas?

- EMP is indeed your friend, use it as often as possible (keep an eye on the cooldown)
- Try to eliminate at least 2 or 3 mitotic cells each time you activate EMP or wait a few seconds for a better occasion.
- Protect the Chain but give a higher priority to the control of the mitotic cell population
- Cells start their division only when you come close. If you get near a bunch of mitotic cells launch an EMP before their actually divide.

Killing these cells is also very easy with the laser when you play with mouse aiming. You might want to swtich to mouse & keyboard controls just for this level if you are really stuck.

This is the bit I didn't know! Just seemed they were dividing all the time to me. I'll stay away from them instead of weaving through them ;)

Use Yellow Rockets
Catch 2-3 upgrades, some pod's and just shoot out anything

I'm guessing you're referring to the plasma rockets, which aren't available until level 16.
