Played this game before - no issues. sound was perfect.

Uninstalled and reinstalled - play again - in game voice sounds like there is an echo - a little robotic.

Cutscene voices are fine. other games are fine.

the only thing different is that now i am not using an HDMI cable. but that only affects the display right? not the audio?

HDMI can carry digital audio, so it's possible your audio output device has changed. May or may not be related.

HDMI cable fixed it. damn - so this game will not have good sound unless its in HDMI lol
