Locked at 30fps?

I have a pretty weak system, but the demo performs the same windowed and fullscreeen. According to the windowed display, the framerate never goes above 30fps. Is that intended? Tried both with and without hardware acceleration.

The game does seem to run pretty slowly, can be especially seen in the floaty jumps.

Yeah, I'm trying the demo now and it seems to be locked to a low FPS. Came here hoping for find info on how to fix that, actually.

The game is locked at 30 fps. It doesn't matter how powerful your PC is. I don't know if there's anyway to unlock it.

Did any content update after this give you an option to run the game in 60fps? 30fps is just not playable for me.

Are their any user patches out there? I had the same issue with Castle of Illusion but a fan-made patch made the game run at 60fps.
