I accidentally lost a vital piece of code and need a backup
long story short I lost arguably the most important block of code in my whole project while copy pasting stuff all over my project and it autosaves my project when i run it and now i need the code back. Can i back up my project to a previous version?

Backup folder is specified in the preferences. While you're at it make GMS keep 10 backups rather than 5.

im not sure if this will work or not...

but i would navigate to my backups and copy everything inside the "project name-0" folder to your main project folder..

just be sure to save a backup of your original folder to desktop in case this wipes everything ;o)

backups are located at
C:\Users\username\Documents\GameMaker\Backups\Project1\Project1-1
