Maybe the actual game has control selection but what I saw was just a controller and you could swap buttons around. Not actually make the W key do this, or the A key do that.
So I won't get it just because of that frustration, but it may be fine for you or others. The graphics are good though.
As a note though, it's very arcadey. Don't expect to be traveling a world Skyrim style or anything. It's a beat em up with rpg elements.
LOL, it's 8 bucks on Steam, are you really gonna wait for a sale to get it even cheaper?
Then again, I went and bought eXceed 3rd as soon as it hit Steam, and I do have the Japanese disk of that from quite some time ago.
Nothings like Odin Sphere :<
Do you buy up everything which is priced $8 en-masse? I have 30 AAA games in my wishlist that I buy from time to time when I receive my salary, so why would I want to spend $8 more for a little arcade instead of waiting for winter sale, while having 100500 more games in library to complete before winter (and for 3 more years in surplus)?
You're not confined to a single screen, the arena changes every five days after the boss.
I really like the game - I beat it on normal mode, but there's still a lot of stuff to unlock in the gallery, so it's time to try harder!
As far as special moves are concerned, so far I mostly just stick with the basic magic shot and add it on top of my basic attacks for extra DPS since it has no casting animation and can be shot at the same time as you do basics.
Arcadey as all hell, yeah, but totally worth it.
Nope. More like a traditional 2D side-scrolling fighting game but with... actually, think Guardian Heroes.
