Action Button Not working?

So ive bought the game and have had no problem playing until i get to the first part when i have to use the action button to throw the guy downt he hole. I have tried switching its key but nothing works...it simply just is inactive and doesnt work, needless to say i cant move forward until i figure this out. Is it just a bug or something?

I had the same problem. I got too close to the guy and playd with camera angle until I was promted to hit x buton. Right after this part where I got stck not being able to kill the two enemies. I HATE THIS GAME!

Be sure you aren't taking the gun off him too early. If you stop threatening him, you lose the prompt immediately and he'll rush you.

and u wont i play pc and its all the talk as to how pushing that guy into the hole is a game stopper.

hay i finally got the solution, when u have him backed to the hole, wait and move around all of a sudden it will say E strike; when that comes up kick him bingo. on to next headace the gate;

For me it was simply a matter of pressing the W AND the E at the same time when prompted, you move forward towards the hole, then it's a simple matter of kicking him into the hole. You also have to make sure you're CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE HOLE. If you're hitting the action key and nothing is happening push him, using the SPACE key closer to the hole and try again. However, despite many many tries I couldn't intially get past the first gate. I finally realized that I had to hit the action button then HOLD THE MOUSE WITH ONE HAND WHILE POUNDING THE CRAP OUT OF THE LMB WITH MY OTHER HAND. I had a lot of high hopes for this game and it's been a big disappointment so far. I was able to play through his apartment, then rescue the little girl, and figured I had made enough progress for one session so I stopped. When I restarted I was back in the sewer and everything I had accomplished was gone. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. In fact this whole game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
