Beyond Divinity introduced randomly generated dungeons in the battlefields, which were optional (I only visited for the merchants there). As much as some people wanted an extra area they could level in outside the main game (during development there were requests for respawns, etc), there is limited appeal to randomly generated dungeons and quests (unless possibly if that is the focus of the game, and enough resources can be spent to really refine that experience). Divinity 2 returned to all designed locations.
