Bigger font patch does nothing
Has anyone gotten the bigger font patch to work? I've avoided playing this since the text is so tiny.

The folder structure was changed in the download version of the game, requiring an adjustment to the instructions:

Larger fonts for high resolutions
I must be doing something wrong. When I extract the file to /fonts/ 7zip stops at 20% with 6 errors. I can copy & paste the file contents with no problem and run the .bat file. It says it changed everything but nothing changes,
I just re-downloaded the font patch zip file and extracted it with 7-Zip without any issues. There are only 6 files in the archive. If Windows can extract the files, though, the error may just be with 7-Zip; if you want to double check the archive, see the checksum values below (calculated with the freeware program Hash[www.keir.net]).

File: DD_V2.0_font_enlargement_patch.zip
Size: 34747 bytes
MD5: 2FDED5918DCC655F8ABA2C146D9E5A48

Did you try running the command prompt as administrator?
I managed to get 7zip to extract correctly by running as admin, but runniny the .bat file still has no effect. Am I entering the prompts wrong or something? I also ran the .bat file as admin, with no effect.

Entering commands in that file do the same thing no matter what I type.

It may help if you run the command prompt as administrator (in the Start menu search box type Command, then right click on Command Prompt to run as administrator) and navigate to the fonts folder (using the 'cd' command) to run the batch file, rather than running the batch file directly.

It would be more work, but you should be able to open the batch file in Notepad (or other text editor) and use Windows Explorer to manually rename / copy the listed files. Instead of renaming the original files you could move them to a 'backup' subfolder.
I ended up having to manually rename and copy the font files, too bad there wasn't a download containing the modified font folder instead. It all works now, thanks for the help!
I was having the same issue with running the batch file directly, even when running as administrator. Following Raze's suggestion to run the Command Prompt as admin and then navigating to the directory to run the batch file from there worked perfectly. Thanks Raze!
This patch is essential for those playing hi-res DD. Thanks Raze!!
I finally was able to get the font mod to work, however, one thing I did notice was that the text of books/manuscripts etc. have changed color, from their original to an almost dark teal color. Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this? Just making sure all is on the up and up, I'd hate to have some unforeseen issue later in my 1st PT of this great game.
Can anyone reupload the patch? both the original and the mirror are dead

I fixed the download and image links in the Larian forum topic.

Same question. I didn't think to first look how the original font looks, before installing the patch, and now I see that books text is annoyingly blurred.
Played through with the font patch personally, had no issues. Color and clarity were altered but no crashes or problems overall in terms of affecting gameplay.
