Unsolveable

So, I solved all of merchant Marcus's quests (stolen goods in sewers etc.) and AFTER that I found dead wagon drivers and a cave with the note regarding that hidden stash. Kinda did it all backwards, and no nearby save OF COURSE to return to =) Therefore, when I come to Marcus afterwards with the note, he does not say anything and the quest "To Rivertown" stays unsolved and litters my journal. The question is: Is there a way to delete unsolved quests from journal? Or a way to solve said quest in this situation.

There is a part of this quest line that can be solved in Verdistis (relating to Tingalf), but I don't know if that will help with the To Rivertown entry.

The quest log gets reset after a main plot event late in the game.

The FIX for broken Imp Council Member quest[www.larian.com] procedure might possibly let you complete this quest. Here is a download link[www.dropbox.com] for a dialogue file from after finding the letter in the cave, before speaking to Marcus to complete 'to Rivertown'. If the game is checking the overall quest status, it may not help, but if it is checking the specific quest entry and dialogue file, then it may.

Yeah, it solved THAT problem, but ruined all other quests, like escorting healers and that one about poisoning. All NPCs reacted like I've already done it, but I have not. Oh, well. Thanks for help anyway, Raze.

Did you backup your original dialog file before substituting the one from my save, and then restore the original after talking to Marcus and saving?

Well, I actually did, but I put it into the same folder with a savegame as yours, so it was, for some reason, deleted. No biggy, I will just replay from an earlier save.
