Idea for the next game: Power Link
Well, after buying this game I pretty much got into Transformers-hype mode and I was looking what else there could be out there to get my Transformers fill.
I ended up with Transformers Prime at least. Great show, despite the usual flaws of PG13-centered TV shows, of course.
But to come to my point: After I had to wait every week for another episode I watched clips from other Transformer series. Most of them were pretty awful, including Transformers Armada.
Despite the terrible unfinished art style, which even put me off as a kid back then, I always liked the Power Link form of Optimus and Jetfire (despite the stupid looking head).

I also found the Bruticus sections of FoC a blast and I asked myself: Why is this awesome feature no regular mechanic in the game? I wanna do that all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time!

This kind of feature even was in games before. In Lost Planet 2, they were some mechs who could combine themself to some kind of tank. One player drove, one aimed with the huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laser cannon his mech transformed into. It looked awkward, but it was hilarious as I done that together with a random online player who seemed to already know about that.

So, High Moon, this one idea is for free, next time you have to pay me. ;) So make Power Link in every game mode happen in your next game.

How do you guys think about that idea?

If Power Linking would be anything like Gotcha Force, in terms of playability, it goes like this: Both players need to be in absolute synch, which, if you consider online play, would be damn-near impossible. Then if your successful, one guy would operate the entire body, while the 2nd guy does all the firepower(missles, lasers, etc). So the idea seems cool, but requires more effort the players would be willing to give. Regardless, would be pretty cool.

i was wondering about that too. they could probably make it like a power up type of thing (i.e intercooler, health regen). but like j-der said, it would take too much effort for two people.

I'm suddenly reminded of an old MechWarrior game on SNES with two controllers.

they're actually making an online version of mechwarrior

They could also simply make it into some kind of perk that consumes the place of the regular perks and add a meter ingame that has to be filled first for combining.
