So...how many tries should it take me to beat the enemy ship on easy? with the Kestrel A?

took me a while.

final ship load out was 1 burst laser 2 2 flak cannon 1 and a heavy ion, and a combat and defense drone 1. and a hull repair drone in the inventory to repair up between fights.

crew was 2 Zoltan, 1 rock, 1 mantis, 1 engi, and 3 humans.

Have not been able to buy slugs or find slugs.

Ship was reasonably fully upgraded. have a significant amount of spare scrap at the end. just no spare power to use it.

I'd played this game before of course. but new things were added.
felt like the start of the game was rougher

Probably should have spent more money on drone pieces but I had plenty for the end.

add I also had internals 10% faster firing guns, 15% faster recharging shields and 50% chance to negate ion.

I would think that the third stage might present a challenge to you, since your ship doesn't have a clear way to kill crew on the first two stages, leaving you susceptible to a rush of boarders while your own crew is being mind controlled.

mildly I guess. my doors were upgraded and I had a full crew. it went a bit messy but I won relatively easily.

I have 39 hours in this game and all of them are spent on easy mode, I haven't won once

Or two glaive beams.

Really, just a vulcan or a glaive beam is already pretty awe-inspiring.

for boarding all i needed was 2 mantises (this was easy no advanced content) i had laser 2, artemis, laser 3?, and a heavy laser and a defense drone
