Like the title suggests, Konami should have first and foremost invested in making the original lineup available so as to preserve the games in an authentic, but accessible manner. Then and only then should they have handed the remake badge to whoever they deemed worthy. It feels like a lot of remakes are trying to replace the original when that should never be the case, especially with a series as important as SH. Newcomers should have just as much incentive to play the originals as they do for the remake....

I've noticed several times that since the announcement of the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2022, I've noticed that there's a lot of negativity here in the group, could that be? I'll keep this short and useful. Silent Hill is supposed to be a puzzle based horror game that throws an absolute chill down the player's spine from the sheer theme and aura of it. It isn't supposed to be a fight or action based survival-horror game such as Resident Evil. Konami saw RE4 remake and thought hey, I can do this for cheaper....

This is something that really bothers me. I mean, I can understand if original game is bad, so remaking it sounds like a reasonable idea. Or, if you've never played it before so you just do not care - I can understand this as well. But if you really love this game and even think that it is the best SH game... why YOU ask for a remake? If you still think that SH2 is great, why not just re-release of original game but for newer systems? Or, as a last resort, a remaster? With some patches, minor improvements...
