Recording in-game
What do you guys use to record gameplay? I've tried Fraps but it always lags me pretty badly. For the most part I use the ingame recorder set to Youtube HD and it does the job alright. Anyone know of a better program for recording? I would prefer if it didn't create such huge files like Fraps does.

Doesn't FRAPS file size have more to do with the recording quality than FRAPS itself?

It does, but I mean if it saved videos in something other than AVI they wouldn't be so large too.

FRAPS has the problem where your hard drive might not be able to keep up with the write rate. I personally prefer Bandicam because I can do a small amount of video compression before writing to the file. That corrected a lot of the frame rate issues I was having with fraps (not including the audio sync issues.)

have you tryed Bandicam,i like it much more then fraps.i have a old lower end pc but can record alot of games with no lag.maybe a loss of 5 or 10 frames here there.
it is much smoother and should work fine.
