VIndictus and Windows 8

I recently tried to launch the game only to have it immediately close, on various forums I've read it seems the real issue isn't the game executable but rather its anti-cheating programme HackShield, so I'm just wondering is there really anyway to run HS in compatibility or am I just going to have to wait for Nexon to make the game compatible, anyway enough ranting does anyone know of a possible way to get Vindictus running in Windows 8?

It's because Hackshield doesn't recognize like 4 numbers in the Windows 8 OS license or something. (Same happened to my husband.) He ended up having to partition his HDD/SSD and install Windows 7 on it to be able to run Vindictus.

idk I had the same problem but yesterday I pressed play and it works fine idk why but I was pretty upset when I saw all the cool stuff coming out and it wouldn't work >.< But I'm happy now

Bump; was wondering if anyone has had any luck with Vindictus on Windows 8 RTM? I haven't tried it myself for months, and I know nobody else who still plays (sadly).

If it doesn't work though; I was able to play it just fine in the past with a Virtual Machine of Windows XP with VMWare Player (I have a Phenom II X3 720 and a Radeon HD 5570; which is pretty weak hardware for today's standards)

Seemed to work fine in the trial version of enterprise edition, maybe because it doesn't have a key?

I have windows 8 and it works perfect! Maybe i'm just lucky...
