If local co-op is added in the sequel I'd definitely be interested. After browsing the forums a bit it seems like the sequel is going to be closer to what I was expecting this game to be like, but I might still give Rebirth a chance after seeing how quickly the devs patched the game in response to the comments about crafting.

I agree. I was disappointed when noticed the lack of local co-op. That was the best part of Secret of Mana.

Actually imho this game is dedicated and designed for a less private sector and area for players to enjoy themselves. It will detract from the way this game was meant to be designed; with pure multiplayer-focused intent and molding. I believe there isn't any other game which boasts as good a community experience, and design dream team....nor the dedicated nature of any or every one of the developers' for this game. Living in the moment is sort of connected to a devoted active online community, and leaving out private games again, and that's just about my 2 bits about this game. :\

I'd buy a 4-pack right now if there was local co-op. Nothing, to me, beats the fun of playing with 1-3 friends on the same screen, and I LOVE PC gaming. I'll sacrifice my M&K if it means I can play with 3 friends in the same room any day of the week.
