What the ♥♥♥♥ are you all ♥♥♥♥♥ing about?
The game needs bugfixes and patches on release day because the game wasn't released without a single bug in it? Holy ♥♥♥♥! Conspiracy!

Seriously, stop acting like you're going to curl up and die because you spent dinner money on a game and must have a refund because it's not perfect.

How about you wait patiently for fixes by giving actual constructive feedback (what an idea!) instead of just raw bashing about how the developer is a terrible person for not being able to perfect everything and how you're somehow entitled to your money back, which you're not.

Grow up.

Is the game finished? Does the store page say it is a work in progress? Why do you think people aren't entitled to a refund?

Why do you think they are? No one is really required to give you your cash back after money's changed hands. If there's a specific condition refunds for this then I'd love to see it.

Regardless, a lot of people are screaming at their monitors about how terrible Cortex Command is because of little details that can be easily fixed.

"Oh no! Characters don't move exactly the way I expected them to! This game must be terrible!" and so begins the whining.

YOU FOOL. It doesn't say that the games completed. If you wanted a complete game, you should've done your research. Go to this link on the official website and scroll to the bottom. http://www.datarealms.com/games.htm
It says nowhere on the steam store page that the game is complete.

its almost been a decade and the progress has been glacially slow and largerly community contributed this game is nowhere near done. Its an alpha being cashed in on (yet again) by slapping 1.0 on it and calling it a day.

Some game modes are non functioning. The "campaign" doesn't correctly complete in many cases in even when it does it says something to the effect of the faction with the most won. Not even specifying which that was, pathetic and lazy.

Saying progress is slow isn't a valid arguement, just a fact. You were never entitled to a completed game. The website even says it's incomplete. Why didn't you know this before purchasing?

It doesn't say it is incomplete. It is reasonable to expect games on steam to be finished products. This is not. The store page should be as up front as the dev website. I hope everybody who wants a refund gets it, though I am sure that will not happen. Doesn't mean it is right.

I am no fool. I didn't throw away money on a partial game not worth my time to play.

The website is totally upfront about it being incomplete. I don't know what you're talking about.

Maybe that should be in bold on the steam purchase page, maybe the price should be representative to the laughable lack of polish this alpha test has

I said the store page needs to be up front about the game status, not the website. The website notifies potential customers correctly. Sometimes you have to read all the words.

Do most people check the website of a game when they buy it? Probably not, Steam should tell them it's an incomplete game, or else they'll expect it to be a complete game, honestly, I came in expecting what I got in the prerelease builds because the developer is a rather awful coder and is slow with updates, I got past the bugs and slow movement, I enjoyed the game, honestly, but that doesn't mean that this isn't an unfinished game, and that's what people are unhappy about.

It says nowhere on the steam store page that the game is complete.

And it doesn't state on the Steam store page the same as on the website (about the game being a WIP), thats why people are complaining you fool.

Had the Steam store page said what the the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ website does, we wouldn't be having this conversation, lol.
