Past CD-keys steamworks?

I purchased this game directly from the developer around 4-5 years ago and am wondering if I can apply that cd-key to re-download it from steam?

the key wont work in steam. use that key (as password) along with your email address to log in to the datarealms website. you'll be able to choose a download option or get your steam key from there.

Ahh, thank you. I could not find a link to this page on their main website. I had purchased this game about three years ago and when I heard it came out for Steam I dug through my e-mail history to find my old CD Key.

No worries! Each time I look I can never find it. Had to dig the link out of my old email too. used to lead to those nifty little 'license card' images but no longer functions :(

I'm in the same boat as Blacktoll (bought it from the developer years ago) and I even managed to find my steam key on my own, but I don't know what to do with it. My only option seems to be to purchase the game again =/

What do I do with a steam key?

At the top of Steam click on "Games" then click "Activate a Product on Steam...". Paste in the Steam key you got.
