Are the butcher bits even worth it?

So I got the core game. For some reason, adding DLC teams separately adds up to an amount more than triple what I paid. Which is weird considering that all their prices show as "N/A" until I actually add them to my cart, or that the "Ultimate Edition" is only $1 more than the original game.

Is it worth investing any more into this drawn-and-quartered cash cow?

I would advise on waiting for the implementation of Single Player and see, if the player count increases, before investing into this game.
