So I have a weird error when looking at messages...(pic enclosed)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=232523547

I've reinstalled Python and it didn't fix the issue. I also verified my game cache and it didn't fix it either.

EDIT: I clicked on Open Traceback and got this;

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
File "game/script.rpy", line 1816, in script
File "game/script.rpy", line 1816, in python
File "game/screens.rpy", line 415, in python

Oh, wow. I would suggest to just uninstall and then reinstall the whole game, and start a new game file after that.
Well, that's just the standard-reply, maybe someone else already had this error too and knows how to fix it correctly - I think, it's worth a try, though.

I have heard about it and its pretty nasty. Its basically a bug in steam thats one cause of it. It causes your game save data to randomly erase for some reason for others too.

Same issue here....wtf is the solution? Can't read messages without this error.

I'm having this issue too. Did you solve it?
Gingy The Viking 9 jul. 2014 às 18:50

Hey! I found a solution, it apparently has served for other people too, so hopefully it'll help you. You need to right-click on the game and choose properties. Then go to the "local files" tab and click "verify integrity of game cache" it will tell you that 72 files are mising or something and STEAM will redownload them. Then you need to start a new game, if you reload the save that gave you problems before it'll delete those 72 files again for some reason.

Pretty sound but still a waste for most when they got so far into it before it gave up.

And on this day we score a win for the Internet. May it always be there to bless us with its wisdom.

Sorry to hear that, many people encountered this problem very early on (like in the first batch of messages, like me). You can still try it, maybe it will load your savegame without problems...
Dante 14 jul. 2014 às 18:33
Well for me steam deleted my save data upon loading the game so I don't have a save anymore.
