Full Throttle from Lucasarts

Anyone ever play it? I loved it back in the day and picked up a CDROM Win9x compatible version from an online store from New Zealand in 2003, along with the original Sam & Max Hit the Road. It even works on Win7 64bit. I still play it to this day.

I'm wondering how this game compares? I understand this is darker and such, and that Full Throttle is a point and click adventure (with bike combat elements) and this is more of a brawler, but I would like to hear from someone who has played both.

Just for overall atmosphere and fun factor, does this game even come close to Full Throttle?

Yes, i loved full throttle. Played the hell out of it. Ride to hell doesn't hold a candle to full throttle. Ride to hell's controlls are messed up with the keyboard and the graphics are outdated with no res adjustment's. There seems to be some clipping issues as well. If i had it to do over again, i would not buy ride to hell. But as a life long biker myself, i just had to try it out.

yeah me too. soon as i played demo i had to have it. Must of beaten that game a dozen times. Shame nothing else came out of it like a good seque

This game looks like a reboot of Full Throttle, but in a much darker way.

DukeSteven I totally hear ya. Lots of crazy memorable lines in Full Throttle. From 1995 and it's still in some peoples' top 10 lists.

When I first saw the trailer and pics of Ride to Hell I was really optimistic. Just gonna wait and see about it.

Full throttle is the one gem that stole me away from the console side. Man they need to redo that game. I'd say may favorite pc game of all time.

If I ever saw that game here on Steam I would buy right away without thinking. It was one of the best point-and-click games ever, a truly gem. Someone should contact Tim Schafer and LucasArts to convince them to release the game on Steam, they have no idea how much people want to play it.

I would never call Full Throttle an adventure game. There is virtually nothing to do and the thing almost plays itself. In that sense it's more of an interactive cartoon than anything else. Style over substance, definitely.
