Any way to NOT pick all items in a container if using a controller?

When playing with a gamepad, approaching a container prompts you to 'search' it with the X button, which will transfer all itens to your inventory.

Is there any way with gamepad (like there is if playing with keyboard and mouse) to just select what you want instead?
