Has the Goggles on the char always been diffrent on PC version than other versions?

i wanted to play stealth bastarda gain so umped on the pc version and i noticed his char looks alot difrent of that compared to the ps vita version that im used to ... has that always been the way im guessing since it was first released on pc?

If I remember correctly, they used an actual 3D model for the char on PlayStation, instead of 2D sprites you see in the PC version.
