game tries to install microsoft vc redist package every time it boots up

Every time I boot up this game, instead of saying "Preparing to play Street Fighter X Tekken", it says it's doing the first time installation of the microsoft vc redist package. The annoying part of this is that every time it happens, my security system asks me if I want to allow Steam to make changes to my computer. The game itself works perfectly fine, even if I say no, but I would rather not have to click an extra button every time I want to play this game.

Buggy Steam installation script.
Just add in the registry (this example is for x64 Windows installations):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps\209120
NAME=VCredist
REG_DWORD=1

and will never try again to reinstall VC Redist package. Enjoy!

You have no idea what Windows registry[www.howtogeek.com] is uh? Too much consoles or Mac user?

Run command prompt[www.howtogeek.com] as admin and run this (it's a single command line, for any Windows x64):

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps\209120" /v "VCredist" /d 1 /f /t REG_DWORD

Go to Steam\SteamApps\common\Street Fighter X Tekken\ and move "installscript.vdf" to archive folder ;)
