Live's emulator, it only emulates it running, but it does not work. On that play online with it will not work.

But I still cannot play online :P

Some movie players can experience some problems with their games, Games for Windows Live (GFWL) in Windows 8. We found a solution to these problems.Follow these steps:

1. Visit the website of Games for Windows Live to download the application GFWL. http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient (how you know)
2. Right-click on the downloaded file and select Properties.
3. On the Compatibility tab, check Run this program in compatibility mode for:
3.1 Choose from the list of WINDOWS 7 and select RUN THIS PROGRAM AS AN ADMINISTRATOR.
4. By installing these boxes, then click OK, and then run the setup file.
5. When installation is complete your game GFWL should work CORRECTLY (Checked).

Now I can start GFWL without any problem (at least it seems so ;) )
I don't know if I'm doing this wrong, but here's EXACTLY what I'm doing.
1.) Everythings off
2.) double click GFWL
3.) Windows appears, and i LOG IN
4.) Games for windows market place window appears
5.) When I switch to "Downloads" tab, I see "Microsoft Flight" , since I downloaded it (as someone here instructed me to do :) )
6.) NOW I open Steam
7.) I start SFxT
8.) A little window with a CD KEY appears
9.) I launch the game
10.) skipping the intro and the ads I reach the MENU
11.) I try to select the Menu point "LIVE"
12.) Each time I try, I hear acoustic feedback. I mean, i HEAR that the game recognizes me HAMMERING on Enter. NOTHING HAPPENS.
13.) I select the menu point "LIVE FIGHT"
14.) "You are not logged in WINDOWS LIVE"
15.) Shut everything down, sit in corner, cry in self-pity

Do not focus on yourself, try to remove all to hell, clean up the registry, and re-install on those items that I have described.

I don't care to play online, I just wanted the game to work and I'm angry at Valve, Capcom, and Microsoft that I had it for a full week before I could play it.

Thanks so much for posting this fix. I don't like pulling down files from websites and people I don't know, but doing things the "right" way didn't work.

Need uninstall "Games for Windows Marketplace Client" and also delete folder: "C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\GFWLive".
Download "http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/downloadclient" and install.
Run Game in Win8!!!

So I explained what and how to solve, and what you are using pirated versions, it's your problem. Should read carefully.
