[Bob Sagat has been re editing his posts that I never quoted to make me appear foolish!]
[WARNING!!!!!!]
This is a total lie.
Either your trolling or your information is wrong, I'll assume the later.
All gems and costumes are paid across all platforms.
Capcom release free colours and gems with ever DLC release / patch on the consoles. These are the free gems that you're talking about. The steam version has got all free colours + gems upto the current 1.02 patch. When 1.06 comes out we will get the free colours and gems upto that patch along side the release of the new paid gems, characters and costumes.
All free content is in the steam version.
The free colours that we have currently are the godawful neon colours.
Don't remember the specific free gems
The replay analyzer was also free DLC, if you save a replay to "my collection" you can use the replay analyzer on your replay to see information on the fight.
You're A. wrong and B. lazy because you didn't even bother to open GFWL and look for yourself. All Gem packs on GFWL for PC version of SFxT are in fact free. As in $0.00. All of them.
I look forward to you taking the 30 seconds required to open xbox.com (which is where the PC GFWL store is located) and clicking on PC games, then clicking on SFxT and looking at the second page, full of ALL the Gem packs, with their associated prices listed directly next to them (which are listed as "Free").
I'll post a screenshot of the damned web page if you would like. Or even better, you can go look for yourself: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Street-Fighter-X-Tekken/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80443430fa5?Page=2
Last time I bought something on GFWL I had to buy points to be able buy ♥♥♥♥.
If you look at the stuff that is being sold is all individual things for real cash
You can't buy the complete costume pack because it costs points.
The gem packs that are free are just the free gems that came with the realese of the paid gems.
each paid pack has free gems with it, these are just the free gems from the paid pack.
I think you need to download teh market place app and it will have the cost of tehitems in points.
Steam just automatically updaes our game with the free gems. People on GFWL have to download these free content packs to get them.
It's no mistake, and everyone is aware of it and has been for a long time. I'm just posting this here for people who are prospectively looking at buying the game on Steam. Congratulations on being one of the last people to know.
If you check the names of those gem packs vs. the names of the packs Steam is selling, they are the exact same thing. You're staggeringly wrong.
Also, I have the marketplace app. That link is literally just for you, since you're too lazy to open up GFWL. It's the same information in both locations.
Is the tone in your posts a projection of your shock at getting anally reamed by a company that you thought were a bunch of good guys?
ALL THE STUFF THERE ON THAT LINK COST REAL CASH OR FREE
THE COSTUMES ARE INDIVIDUALLY PRICED BECAUSE BUYING A SMALL DENOMINATION OF GFWL POINTS IS STUPID.
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME DOWNLOAD THE MARKET PLACE APP TO PROVE YOU WRONG?
Yes, you're going to have to download it because you are going to feel remarkably stupid about 30 seconds after you open it.
Steam hasn't updated you with any of the gems from the packs listed on GFWL. The gems that you have in Steam are up to date with the current 1.02 version of the game, and were never part of a pack themselves.
Stop arguing and go look for yourself. And visit Google because I know this has been mentioned on Steam's forums before, repeatedly.
Re-read my post. When you buy SFxT anywhere else but Steam, you get a standalone copy of the game. This is activated through GFWL (the same as your Steam version) but you do not require Steam to run it. Additionally, when you purchase DLC for those versions of the game, you do it through GFWL instead of Steam.
My point is that GFWL is giving the gem packs away for free, whereas everyone who purchased the game through Steam is being charged for the same gem packs.
In addition to that, the Steam version of SFxT blocks attempts to add DLC from GFWL (it's the same stuff as what comes from Steam, just from a different source). This way they are preventing people who bought the Steam version of the game from downloading the free GFWL gem packs, which cost money on Steam alternatively.
I have no idea how that is hard for you to understand.
Why did Capcom release, free colours and gems along side every paid gem pack just like on steam?
The gems were always paid and they gave free ones with ever new pack on consoles just like on steam.
Maybe it's because practically nobody bought the game on GFWL and noboy bought the DLC's on GFWL so it seems kind of stupid to deny content to a few players that are not going to buy it and haven't bought it. Maybe that's why the patch keeps getting delayed even though capcom said they sent it to microsoft. Microsoft is just pissed hardly anybody bought the game retail so is trolling Capcom.
You're crying about content that everbody had to pay for on all platforms.
I'm not sure what you don't understand about this. PC (the thing you're using to chat with me on) users who bought SFxT through other sources than Steam, are getting $5.98 worth of game-essential Gems for free, while Steam is still treating you as poorly as Sony and Microsoft are treating their console users.
And if you're curious as to why the Gem DLC is free through GFWL, look at the state of the game. It's months behind on updates and extra character DLC. It's obvious why the GFWL store is offering the Gems free of charge.
Oh, and I'd like some admission from you that I've been right the entire time that the Gem DLC is free through GFWL, since there is no excuse for you not having looked for yourself.
They're not charging for it because there's only a handful of people who bought it outside of steam. If this handful of players are not buying it, then why charge for it?
You make it sound like microsoft is being a good guy.
If people were playing it through GFWL specifically Microsoft would be selling that DLC just like they do for the consoles.
There's no way for you to mitigate how wrong you have been the entire time in this thread. If you had any dignity you'd just apologize and admit that you assumed incorrectly that you were right. As it is, you are humiliating yourself.
Personally, I feel bad having quoted so many of the abjectly wrong and reactionary things you said. Now you don't even have the option of going back and deleting your entries into this thread to save face.
You know that if SFxT was successful THEY WOULD be charging for it
YOU KNOW THIS.
So stop crying just because Microsoft is trolling Capcom / Steam to cause some backlash from fans about being charged for free content that wouldn't be free if Microsoft could actually sell it.
What a joker.
10 people in the world got them for free. woooooo
Plus you know people that got the game outside of steam pirated all the DLC anyway.
