Thinking about buying the four pack, but do i need four friends all the time?

Just grinded 7.50 from CS:GO, and wondering if i shouldspend my hard earned money on this game? I just don't want to play alone; is the community friendly?

I bought it yesterday and i really like it. so far the community has been very friendly, at least more friendly people in random matches than in other games. You dont need 4 friends all the time, but i think its better to have them

Anyways, I like the game so far, anf if you don't have four friends to send copies to then you gotta stop grinding and make some friends. The community is great, but you REALLY would want a mic in this game. Trust me. Unlike other games, people in Guns Of Icarus judge you for not using or having a mic rather than using one.

paragon i disagrea though i dont have much time in the game and i admit i am probboly wrong but it seems to me like only the captions/pilot need a mic?

Everyone needs a mic to be effective really. Spotters spotting enemy ships need to inform the captain, if their spyglass can't tag the enemy ship, gunners need to inform the captain which way to turn the ship so they can hit with the guns, etc.. Really, having a mic is just better than not having one.

I wouldn't say you NEED a mic - there is a signal / voice command system, and there are some inbuilt features like spotting and the hit markers which help your allies know what's going on without the need for explicit communication. Of course a mic is better, but that's true of most games. If you're not aiming for competitive play you should be able to do okay without one, especially if you're not captaining.

As crew mix isnt always needed. As pilot you will be screwed at one point as you can barely communicate with your allied ships.
And for sure the higher you get the more important is a mic.
