Sounds like an appeasement type of thing. Kinda like how the main character in the new Star Wars Ep. 7 will be a black storm trooper who turns out to be force sensitive, we all know it's tokenization because so many people made a fuss about Lando being the only black guy in that universe in the movies. It's a fuss no one should have listened to because now it seems they are going out of their way to make the token the idol and it's widely believed he will get it on with Solo+Leia's daughter. But here with Catwoman, I don't think there really was a fuss to begin with. So why appease? Swear some people just pour whatever guilt they feel (proper or not) into their work whether it's artistic or otherwise.

Art is a reflection on life. Homosexuality has existed for as long as humanity itself has, but it's only relatively recently that the gay community has found widespread acknowledgement and acceptance. It's only natural that this would be reflected in popular media as well.

Edit - In the interest of full disclosure, I am not gay, nor do I have any gay family members. I simply accept and acknowledge that everyone has the right to openly live their lives in whatever way they choose so long as it's not harming anyone else.

(and don't say being bothered by gay people "harms" you, because that's not what I mean and no it doesn't.)

No, I don't. You have access to the same internet that I do. Go google for yourself.

Thanks for admitting that your claim has no basis in truth and is only something you made up. :-)

You're not very bright, are you?

Do you need someone to hold it for you while you pee too?

Ah, classic diversionary tactic. Priceless. I expected as much. ;-)

I disagree with this. It was uncommon but happened but it was acceptable in ancient Greek times until their culture deteriorated and they disappeared from the world and reappeared as a crippled tiny nation from that point forward to this day.

Pot/kettle/black much?

Stop being so lazy and go google for yourself as I said in the first place.

You can disagree all you want, but the anthropological evidence of history tells a different story. I'm not concerned with whether such things were acceptable or not, just the clear fact that there are such references all throughout recorded history. This strongly implies that it existed in prehistory as well. Or do you think people suddenly started being gay just because that's when history happened to start being recorded?
