F1 2012 STUPID "LOST CONNECTION"

Yesterday we were supposed to have a league race...but every time at least 4-5 out of 15 of us got Disconnected..the game is really a laugh when it comes to MP and Connection quality..is it the games fault or steam or someting 3rd? any fixes ? would port forwarding help?

I saw that msg for the first time last night, but I was running a singleplayer race.
But I can't imaging how annoying it must be to get that msg during multiplayer :/

Yes it happens a lot in games. Hopefully a patch comes out for that or they improve their servers. Sometimes it really is the internet crashing out, but most times it is just the game. Me and my friend have played multiplayer and crashing happens many times. Steam has nothing to do with the crash.

there areno servers..players host it..thats the problem...they are to greedy and cheap to make them..they dont want to give money for it...

this game is buggy as hell and Iam sure F1 2013 will be buggy too.....for sure!

i race in a league, well 2. one tuesdays and one wednesdays... of the 28 combined races so far (last night was singapore) i have had DNFs due to connection lost 17 times.... thats simply unacceptable. thats my one major gripe about this game... i never had connection issues with 2010, 2011 or any other steam game, yet this just drops me all the time- sometimes after a lap or 2, sometimes- like last night - with 3 to go in a 50% race.... beyond frustrating.

I don't think the issue is because the game is buggy, In fact I've not had a single problem with issues like this online, the only issues I seem to have is with the penalty system. If you're losing connection, the things I can suggest looking at would be:

Check your internet connection. If your connection is low or has high traffic it can cause online connectivity issues. You could try rebooting your modem/router to resolve the issue.

Check your NAT type. Usually when people experience connectivity issues, it's because their NAT type is set to strict or moderate. You will need to change this to open if it's not already. There are various ways of doing this, the more common would be to enable UpNp on your routers webpage, however I would suggest looking up a guide or contacting your internet service provider to be safe.

If you have a pirated copy of the game, first of all, you shouldn't have, but in case you do, this will be the reason why your disconnecting.

Firewall restrictions may be another cause and it's fairly common. Check the game and Steam are allowed applications through your firewall. If they're not, allow them to. If they're blocked, this will be why you're disconnecting.

Still having problems? Try port-forwarding Steam and F1 2012 through your routers webpage. There are guides on the internet to do so.

i do...we race leagues on tunngle..LAN..yes it is a pirate program for the ones that dont want to buy the game..but we all have legal copies and a private network..
