have only done two and cannot work out the significance of the mine detector signals. It seems my character can wander over the mines without issue but pushing a box onto the mine blows me up. Found two mines in level 22 by pushing the boxes and then restarting, marking the mine positions on the next play through. Although this game is listed in the current Sokoban-Steam-event under free Demos, I can't download the demo of this game. : I think the reason for this is the fact, that in Germany there is no access to the DEMO on the shopsite of this game due to missing age-rating !!
