Can't change graphics settings

Whenever it asks me to restart the game to get the maximum graphics settings, everything reverts to default including the screen resolution. I tried deleting my My Games/Myst V/init folder but it still does this. Any way to solve this?

Which version of windows are you using?

Try using compatibility mode if you have not already done so;

[whatever drive you have it on C for most people] -> Program Files [It might be Program Files (x86)] - Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Myst V. That could be entirely wrong depending on where you installed it to, but basically you have to find the Myst V folder. Within that folder, find the application. It should end in .exe. Right-click it and select properties. Click on the compatibility tab, try setting it to win xp service pack 3, if that does not fix the problem also try vista and me.
